- The user interface for the program is very important - a design should be created to make it clear how the user will interact with the program.
- Wire-framing is a visual sketch of an interface. It uses boxes, labels and notes to explain how the interface will work. This can be very detailed or just a rough sketch.
- In some programming language development environments, an interface can be created with a drag and drop system. This can act as a wire-framing tool, but saves time, because the programmer can use this interface as a design tool and a prototyping tool.
